“Don’t we want more than anything to make something that reflects who we are and how we feel honestly enough that someone else might feel seen or acknowledged, and less alone?” –Jeff Tweedy, How to Write One Song

At the Irony, we put up decades of experience creating to offer a number of different goods and services. Whether you’re looking for something new, have something you want to upcycle or need something repaired, we can accommodate.

  • Handmade Goods: Choose from our regular lines of product, like belt buckles or bottle openers or find a unique one-off! This is a great option if you need a quick gift or want to spruce up your space.
  • Commissioned Work: Sometimes you need (want) something specific for that one place in your home or business, and as far as you can tell, it doesn’t exist. Let’s collaborate on how best to fill that need! Whether it’s a table of odd dimensions, a style of chair that you can’t find anywhere, or a range hood for your kitchen remodel, we love to team up with others to create exactly the thing for which you’re searching.
  • Upcycling: Dumpster diving is underrated! We’ve created things like outdoor planters, stools and even fishing rod holders from old junk rescued from the dump. Maybe you have a collection of old wine bottles that would make fun candles. Perhaps you have some wood from your grandfather’s barn that would make a nice heirloom table. If you find yourself at goodwill eyeing something that you don’t have the time or know-how to upcycle, grab it anyway, and bring it to us!
  • Repair: That table you inherited would be great, if it weren’t in such rough shape. You bought an antique that needs some finish. Somewhere along the way, we’ve succumbed to a false sense of obsolescence; everything feels disposable. And unless much of our income is also disposable, we spend entirely too much money replacing things that really just need a quick weld, some paint or some new finish. We will gladly assess your repairs and give you an honest take on what we can do to fix or, at least, improve your item.

Let me know what I can do for you!
